How It All Started
Mustard Seed Puppies began as a childhood dream that slowly grew into a true passion.
When my siblings and I were younger, we lived in a small neighborhood in Florida where we started our very first “business. We baked bread and went door-to-door selling it. We named our little venture DoReMi, and we had one big goal—to save enough money to buy a dog of our own.
After lots of hard work, we finally reached our goal and brought home our very first puppy. Her name was Remi, and from the moment she joined our family, we fell completely in love. That was where my passion for dogs truly began.
A few years later, our family moved to North Carolina, where we met some friends who owned Golden Retrievers. We instantly fell in love with the breed and soon welcomed Ginger and Ruby into our family. They brought so much joy, love, and laughter into our home that we knew we wanted to share that same joy with other families.
What started as one litter quickly grew into many, and over time it became clear—this wasn’t just a hobby. It was something we were meant to do.
As our program grew, we also fell in love with the Goldendoodle breed. We adore their fun, loving Golden Retriever personalities and appreciate that they shed less, making them a great fit for many families. While Goldendoodles became a special part of our program, our love for Golden Retrievers has remained just as strong.
Today, Mustard Seed Puppies is a family-run business built on love, faith, and intentional care. It has taught us kids responsibility, communication, and the joy of connecting with others—whether that’s answering the phone, meeting families in person, or helping care for our puppies.
Our favorite parts are, of course, spending time with our dogs and puppies—but just as special is getting to know the families who become part of the Mustard Seed Puppy family. We love sharing updates on social media, watching each puppy’s personality unfold, and seeing them head off to the homes they were meant for.
Every day, we fall more in love with what we do, and we are so grateful to be able to share it with you.

MEET THE KIDS!
Chloe
Chloe loves learning and helping our program run smoothly. She starts by connecting with families finding guardian homes, checking in with current families, and keeping everyone updated. She also helps manage our website and social media, sharing photos and puppy updates.
Chloe makes sure our puppies and parent dogs stay healthy, assisting with health testing, vet visits, and preparing puppies for go-home day. She helps plan upcoming litters, keeps the puppy areas clean, oversees our curriculum, and guides her younger siblings as they learn the ropes.
Oliver
Oliver is definitely our morning person! He’s up bright and early at 6:30 every morning, ready to let all the dogs out, play with them, and help them burn off some of their energy for the day. Oliver loves spending time with the dogs and making sure our parent dogs receive plenty of attention, training, and care.
In the summer, one of his favorite things to do is take the dogs down to the pond for some fun in the water something they absolutely love and deserve. When we have puppies on the ground, Oliver also helps clean the puppy pens and makes sure everything stays tidy and comfortable for them.
Alexa
Alexa is the one who makes sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. She’s incredibly organized and keeps track of all the supplies for our dogs and puppies. Each week, Alexa makes lists to ensure we always have all the essentials that keep our program running well.
She also helps prepare special meals for our mama dogs while they are nursing and recovering after having puppies, making sure they get the extra nutrition and care they need. Alexa plays a big role in raising our puppies as well. She helps with our puppy curriculum, takes the puppies outside multiple times throughout the day, and helps keep the puppy pens clean so they always have a safe and comfortable space to grow.
Alexa is also often the one behind the camera. She’s always ready to jump in and make a video for social media, sharing exciting updates and taking you along on the journey of our program.
Lily
Lily, who many people lovingly call “Silly Lily,” brings so much joy and energy to our program. She helps care for our parent dogs by keeping them brushed, following their bathing schedule, and making sure they are always feeling their best. Lily also helps get the puppies used to being brushed, which is an important part of their early grooming experience.
She loves running around and spending time with the parent dogs, as well as taking the puppies outside throughout the day. Lily also helps clean the puppy pens, wash food and water bowls, and keep toys clean and organized. She’s always ready to jump in and help with whatever needs to be done.
Lily also enjoys helping with our puppy curriculum, being part of our social media, and acting as a little helper when it’s time for puppies to be born. Her enthusiasm and love for the dogs make her such a special part of our team.

Each day begins with a gentle check-in, where we monitor every puppy’s weight, health, and overall development. As they grow, we gradually introduce age-appropriate activities designed to support physical coordination, curiosity, and confidence.
We also incorporate ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation), ESI (Early Scent Introduction), and early sensory exposure to help build resilient, well-adjusted puppies. Most importantly, our puppies receive plenty of love and positive interaction every single day.

Our parent dogs are carefully selected not only for their excellent genetics and breed conformation but also for their calm, loving personalities.
